A recent Senate resolution will allow Senator Leyonhjelm’s bill to “have precedence over all government business” between August 14 and 16 – and Greens MP Adam Bandt has promised to sponsor the bill in the lower house.

That’s why we need to take action immediately to stand up for human life and dignity in the territories – and to stop such laws spreading to other jurisdictions.

Victorian Liberal MP Kevin Andrews has warned that a “secret deal” may be in progress to overturn the Euthanasia Laws Act of 1997.
