This campaign has now concluded due to the Victorian Parliament passing the bill.

A bill that recently passed Victoria’s lower house seeks to radically alter the legal definition of biological sex.

The bill, pushed by the Andrews Government, allows people to choose the sex listed on their birth certificate.

Changes can be made every 12 months, and could include “male”, “female” or something else entirely (e.g. “pangender”, “ambigender”, or “wolfsbanegender”, to name just a few of the countless possible options).

This is arguably among the most radical legislation Australia has ever seen, because it seeks to remove any acknowledgement of sex as an objective reality.

The Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Amendment Bill would also:

  • Allow the sex listed on a child’s birth certificate to be altered, in some circumstances even without parental consent
  • Allow anyone born outside of Victoria to obtain an official document listing their sex as anything they choose
  • Retrospectively change birth records, implying that a person’s biological sex was incorrectly recorded at birth.

It’s impossible not to recall the revolutionary assault on language by the totalitarian state in George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, in which the hero is forced to agree that two plus two equals five.

If this bill passes, then every Victorian will be forced to agree to something no less absurd: that there is no such thing as biological sex, and that everyone is a man or a woman (or some other invented alternative) according to belief alone.

Victoria’s upper house MLCs need to take a stand against this gender madness.

If you live in Victoria, please use the form to contact your upper house MLCs – as well as Premier Dan Andrews – and urge them to reject this bill.

People from other states and territories can also participate, with your message solely sent to Premier Andrews.
