The Queensland Government is proposing some of the most extreme abortion laws in the world.

And now the matter has been referred to a parliamentary committee.

We need to make a HUGE statement on behalf of Queensland's unborn children!

Wherever you are in Australia, please lodge a submission today using the adjacent form – it only takes a couple of minutes, but it could make a BIG difference.

Just remember the implications should this nefarious legislation pass Queensland's parliament. The Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2018 would:

• Allow abortion for any reason up until 22 weeks of pregnancy, including sex-selective abortions;
• Allow abortion from 22 weeks right up to birth, provided the consulting doctor gets concurrence from a colleague (even over the phone);
• Force medical professionals with conscientious objection to abortion to refer patients to professionals with no such objection – that is, the conscientious objector is compelled to be part of the process; and
• Create “safe access zones” (150 metre radius) around abortion clinics banning any conduct that “relates to terminations or could reasonably be perceived as relating to terminations”. This might include anything from prayer to offers of practical support to vulnerable women and couples. The maximum penalties will be a $2611 fine or one year in jail.
